CHIN NA WORKSHOP 17th July 2010 NEW!!Class Schedule
Training course Fees
Private LessonsPrivate lessons are available with Sifu Wang at reasonable rates. Lessons are charged on a per hour basis. Private lessons give students the opportunity to fast track their kung fu training, and hone precise techniques. For the keen beginner, or committed student, private lessons give you quality time with the master. Tai Chi ClassesTai Chi classes run on Monday at 6pm to 7pm, Tuesday at 10:30am to 11 : 30 am and Thursday 6pm to 7pm. New ComersNew comers are welcome to visit and try their first lesson for free. The best thing to do is give us a call first so that either Shifu, or one of the instructors, knows you are coming. You will join in the class and follow the other students as they go through various drills and exercises. You are not expected to keep up with the other students until after a few months of training. Also let us know if you have any injuries or medical conditions. What to bring You should bring a drink; water, tea or sports drinks are fine. Avoid carbonated soft drinks or energy drinks. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. A t-shirt and track pants works well. Also try to find some soft flat shoes. You can get martial arts shoes from good sports stores or martial arts shops. What to expect Your first training session will be difficult. Unless you have learned another style of kung fu before and you are in excellent physical shape you will not keep up with the other students. This is normal and we do not expect you to keep up. It will take between 4 - 8 weeks before you will learn the basic drills and build up your fitness levels. Persistence and determination is the key. If you come to training at least twice a week you will progress at a steady rate. Once you master the basics your rate of learning will increase, learning new forms and techniques will be fun, rewarding but still physically and mentally challenging. |
