Private Lessons

Private lessons are available with Sifu Wang at reasonable rates. Lessons are charged on a per hour basis. Private lessons give students the opportunity to fast track their kung fu training, and hone precise techniques. For the keen beginner, or committed student, private lessons give you quality time with the master.

Adults Classes

Although weekday classes begin at 6.30 pm, most students arrive at around 6 pm to begin stretching and warming up. Typical class include stretching and warm up followed by drills (kicks, punches, stances etc) and ending with forms practise or group exercises. Classes finish around 8 pm.

* On weekends there are no formal classes for adults but students are welcome to train at the school. Shifu, or one of the instructors, is there to help you work on forms or other techniques. Adults are welcome to join the kids classes for training. Try keeping up with the kids!

Kids Classes

Similarly with kids classes, students arrive around 15-20 minutes before class begins to stretch and warm up. A new kids class is starting on Saturday mornings at 9:30am

Tai Chi Classes

Tai Chi classes run on Sundays at 3pm in conjunction with kids classes. While the kids are training and having fun with kung fu, many parents take this opportunity to learn some Tai Chi. It's a great way to pass the time, whilst maintaining health and fitness.

New Comers

New comers are welcome to visit and try their first lesson for free. The best thing to do is give us a call first so that either Shifu, or one of the instructors, knows you are coming. You will join in the class and follow the other students as they go through various drills and exercises. You are not expected to keep up with the other students until after a few months of training. Also let us know if you have any injuries or medical conditions.

What to bring

You should bring a drink; water, tea or sports drinks are fine. Avoid carbonated soft drinks or energy drinks. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. A t-shirt and track pants works well. Also try to find some soft flat shoes. You can get martial arts shoes from good sports stores or martial arts shops.

What to expect

Your first training session will be difficult. Unless you have learned another style of kung fu before and you are in excellent physical shape you will not keep up with the other students. This is normal and we do not expect you to keep up. It will take between 4 - 8 weeks before you will learn the basic drills and build up your fitness levels. Persistence and determination is the key. If you come to training at least twice a week you will progress at a steady rate. Once you master the basics your rate of learning will increase, learning new forms and techniques will be fun, rewarding but still physically and mentally challenging.
